Common questions
How do I measure my wrist?
Wrap a tape measure snug around your wrist where the bracelet will sit and read off the millimetres, or use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler. Enter that number on the product page. The size guide has a printable measuring strip if you want to be certain.
What if I entered the wrong measurement?
Write to us immediately — an order can be changed or cancelled free of charge up until manufacturing starts. After that the piece is yours, but we can often adjust a measurement at the bench at cost.
What is the difference between genuine leather and PU leather?
Genuine leather is a natural material; PU leather is artificial leather — not animal hide. On products that come in both materials, you choose the material before adding the bracelet to your bag. The care is the same: keep it dry.
Is the bracelet waterproof?
No. Take it off when you exercise, shower, bathe or swim, and keep perfume, make-up and cleaning products away from it. If it does get wet, wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry flat.
How long does delivery take?
The bracelet is made and dispatched within 3–5 business days, tracked, with letterbox delivery by PostNord. Expect 6–10 business days from order to letterbox. In Sweden, letterbox shipping is free from 800 kr.
Is there a right of withdrawal?
Every bracelet is manufactured to the measurement you enter, so no right of withdrawal applies — the EU exemption for goods made to your specifications. A wrongly entered measurement is not a defect. Manufacturing faults always are, and are covered for three years under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.
How do I make a complaint?
Write to order@bastardbracelet.com with your order number, a description of the fault and a photo. If it is a defect we send a prepaid label within one business day, and repair or replace at our cost.
How can I pay?
You can split the payment with Klarna. You will see every available payment method at checkout.
What do the sizes S, M, L and XL mean?
They are shortcuts to fixed wrist measurements: S is 150 mm, M 170, L 190 and XL 210. The bracelet is made to that measurement, exactly as when you enter your own.
Where are the bracelets made?
In Lund, Sweden. Daniel Valsjö, who founded Bastard Bracelet, assembles every bracelet by hand in the workshop on Östra Vallgatan, to the wrist measurement you enter.
