It started simply enough.

I was looking for a bracelet that suited my style and felt like something I actually wanted to wear. I never quite found it. They were either too impersonal, looked like everything else, or simply lacked the feeling that makes you want to put something on every day.

So instead of carrying on looking, I started making my own.

That was also the beginning of Bastard Bracelet.

To me a bracelet is about more than how it looks. It has to feel right. It has to suit the person wearing it — in size, in style and in character — and be able to come along through everyday life, travels, experiences and the moments you actually remember.

So I make every Bastard Bracelet myself, one at a time. In the right size for the particular wrist that will wear it. Small-scale, personal, and careful about the details.

I do not believe everything has to be mass-produced, or made to suit everyone. Quite the opposite. I like things with a character of their own, things that come to mean something to the person who owns them.

What began as wanting to make a bracelet I would actually wear myself has turned into something larger.

Today I get to make bracelets for other people who also care about individuality, quality, and the feeling of wearing something that is not just another product.

A Bastard Bracelet is made to be used. To come along. To become part of your style, your experiences and, in time, perhaps your memories too.

Every bracelet is made by me, in Sweden.

Behind every finished Bastard Bracelet there is no production line.

There is a person.
